Grid, development and commercial leaders for renewables developers, utilities and infrastructure investors.

Our energy and infrastructure practice recruits the leaders who are building the grid of the next thirty years. We appoint directors of grid connections, heads of project development, asset managers, engineering and construction leaders, and the commercial teams who originate and trade power. Clients include renewables developers, utilities, storage and transmission businesses, and the infrastructure funds that invest in them.
The talent pool is small and contested. Engineers who understand interconnection queues, permitting and power purchase agreements are in demand on both sides of the Atlantic, and most of them are busy delivering projects rather than looking for new ones. We find them by mapping the market project by project, not by job title, and by understanding which teams have actually brought capacity online.
Rahul Desai leads the practice from New York with colleagues in London, and we have placed leaders into fourteen countries. Many searches involve relocation, so we plan for visas, family moves and staggered start dates from the outset. We are equally comfortable hiring for a developer’s first operational asset and for a fund building a portfolio company’s leadership team from scratch. Either way, clients get a shortlist of people who have done the work before and will be there to finish it.
